Multidisciplinary Long-Term Recovery
In the MANA Post COVID Recovery Program, people with lingering symptoms from the COVID-19 virus can connect with a primary care doctor, an Internal Medicine or a Family Medicine physician, if they do not have one. The primary care doctor will evaluate their symptoms, coordinate evaluations with medical specialists as needed, and order diagnostic testing.
Within the MANA physician group, there are pulmonologists, neurologists, sleep doctors, and psychiatrists. In addition, MANA offers diagnostic testing including imaging exams, a full-service laboratory, and a physical therapy department. After testing and evaluations, the medical specialists at MANA will work with the primary care doctor to manage the patient’s symptoms and treat the whole patient.
For those issues that cannot be managed by medical specialists within MANA, the physicians will work with local specialists who can support specific conditions affecting the heart and other organs, if necessary.
